Scottish Liberal Democrats conference: Reforming public services

As cuts to Scotland's public services loom, there is a real opportunity to seize the initiative and argue for innovative ways in which better public services can be delivered for less.

The fringe debate will discuss what sort of public services can, and should, Scotland provide in light of severely limited resources.

It will also consider the implications for service providers, the workforce and local communities, and explore opportunities for positive outcomes.

Speakers

  • Ross Martin (Chair), Director of the Centre for Scottish Public Policy (CSPP)
  • Rt Hon Michael Moore MP, Secretary of State for Scotland
  • Professor Richard Kerley, Professor of Management, Queen Margaret University
  • Graeme Downie, Communications Manager Scotland, NESTA
